Alex Warwick BEng, CEng, MICE, SiLC - Managing Director

Alex has 25 years' experience in geotechnical and geo-environmental investigation and consultancy. He is a Registered SiLC (Specialist in Land Condition), a Chartered Civil Engineer, and holds an honours degree in Civil Engineering.

Alex began work at Nicholls Colton in 1987, as a Junior Geotechnical Engineer. Today he is the Director responsible for the geotechnical and structural divisions of the Group, as well as being the joint owner and Managing Director of the Nicholls Colton Group, with Ian Elliot.

Nick Hutt BEng (Hons) - Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer

Nick has 20 years' experience as a geotechnical and geo-environmental engineer. Nick joined Nichols Colton in 1992 as a Geotechnical Engineer. He has a degree in civil engineering, and has a wealth of experience in foundations, contaminated land and mine workings. As well as managing the geotechnical team, Nick is responsible for the estimating and technical output of the department.

Kevin Willfratt BSc (Hons), FGS - Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer

Kevin joined Nicholls Colton in 1998 as an Assistant Geotechnical Engineer, having spent a year with Geotechnics Ltd. A geology graduate, Kevin has 14 years' experience in the geotechnical and geo-environmental sectors. Highly experienced in contaminated land assessments, Kevin is a skilled negotiator with local authority and other regulators. Together with Nick, he is responsible for business development.

Jim Poynton BEng (Hons) - Geo-Environmental Engineer

Jim joined Nicholls Colton from Ground Engineering in 1999. He is a graduate Civil Engineer with 15 years' experience in geotechnical engineering. Jim is involved in the implementation of geotechnical and contaminated land ground investigations including fieldwork and the preparation of factual and interpretative reports comprising desk studies, conceptual models and risk assessments.
