SVOC
SVOCs are semi volatile organic compounds.
There are a vast number of compounds which can be classified as SVOCs. Analysis however is limited to those most commonly used in industry and which pose the greatest environmental threat. Among the most common types of SVOCs are Amines, Chlorinated Hydrocarbons, Phenols, Phthalate Esters and Polynuclear Aromatic Hydrocarbons.
The SVOC suite covers 108 SVOC compounds as listed in USEPA method 8270
