Lab UKAS Scope Increased

Due to customer demand Nicholls Colton Testing have extended their UKAS scope of accreditation to include the following tests:

 

Aggregates

• Flakiness index to BS EN 933-3:1997
• Water content to BS EN 1097-5:1999
• Magnesium sulphate soundness test BS EN 1367-2:1998
• Vibrating hammer to BS EN 13286-4:2003
• Sampling of aggregates to BS EN 932-1:1996

 

Asphalt

•  Recovery of bitumen binders  to BS EN 12697-3:2005
•  Bulk density to BS EN 12697-6:2003

 

Concrete

• Sampling fresh concrete to BS EN 12350-1:2000
• Slump to BS EN 12350-2:2000
• Making test cubes
• Water soluble chloride content to an in-house method

 

Mortar and Grout

• Chemical analysis (Mix Proportions) to BS 4551:2005
• Moisture content of grout to an in-house method

 

These additional accredited tests will compliment the existing scope of our laboratory services and will improve the service available to our customers.
