Instrumentation
Nicholls Colton Geotechnical install a range of bespoke monitoring standpipes and instruments, either at surface or within specially constructed boreholes and trial pits (eg. soakaways).
Groundwater can be monitored and sampled for later analysis in the laboratory.
Ground gases such as methane and carbon dioxide can be analysed using infra red portable monitoring equipment and samples of the gases are also obtained for subsequent laboratory analysis.
Ground movements can be measured by use of a range of surface and buried monitoring stations.
